Ten Thousand Reasons For My Heart To Find

We started calving last week and in the evenings we sometimes go out as a family to check the herd and tag/vaccinate new calves.

It has been so good to get out and enjoy the fresh air, amazing views, sunsets, clouds, wide open spaces, fresh black baby calves, and my precious family.

We've had a lot of loss and hardship lately.  It has been one of the roughest weeks in a really long time.  Today I was so heavy of heart and fatigued that all my soul could do was sing:

"Bless the lord, oh my soul, Oh my soul. Worship his holy name. Sing like never before, Oh my soul, I worship your holy name."  If you aren't familiar with this song, it is 10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman.  You can listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXDGE_lRI0E

The Lord provided this wonderful Scripture for encouragement to me today as well:

Isaiah 40: 28-31 "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

Even though it has been a rough week, and I have had a heavy heart, it has only pushed me to look up and remember, REMEMBER and worship our faithful, sovereign, trustworthy, perfect God.  When I am weak, He is made perfect.  When I am tired, He is my strength.  When I am discouraged, He is my encouragement.  When I am hurting, He is my comfort.  When I am lonely, He is ever-present.  When I am confused, He is my clarity.  When I am needy, He is my provider.

And through His creation, my Creator has blessed me greatly.  I am so thankful and refreshed by the majestic place He chose for us to live on.  Thank You, Father.

I will worship Your holy name.
